Overconsumption Yields Depletion

This installation piece is meant to foster dialogue regarding the mass production of goods, highlighting issues such as the commodification and depletion of natural resources brought on by capitalist motives. The industrial revolution serves as a significant example of the historical cultivation of the capitalocene epoch. This piece features a wooden pallet supporting several stacks of adobe bricks which take on the appearance of food waste containers bonded and packed together with dried plant fibers as a way of mimicking industrial packing systems.
